$17,981 towards $12,500

Dear Friends,

As always, I am helping Conscious Alliance hit the road this winter. They have set a goal to raise $250,000 by December 31st in order to distribute 500,000 meals to families in need in vulnerable communities all across the United States! As little as $.50 provides one meal, so just a small donation will go a long way in helping me reach my goal of raising $12,500 - enough for 25,000 meals by December 31st, or five percent of Conscious Alliance’s overall goal. To help reach this goal, I will be matching dollar for dollar the first $6,250 in donations made by my friends.

As many of you know, I have been involved with Conscious Alliance for over thirteen years and have been lucky enough to serve as the President of the Board of Directors for the past eight. By now, you have all heard from me about the incredible work that Conscious Alliance does in nourishing vulnerable communities across America - our secret sauce is bringing together an alliance of musicians, artists, volunteers and donors like you – who all support one another with art, music, and youth empowerment at the center of the movement. And, many of you have been extremely generous in donating in the past, attending one of our events or volunteering your time.

Rising inflation and a depressed economy have fueled a dramatic increase in domestic food insecurity, and Conscious Alliance has stepped up to meet the need:

  • Right now the number of kids skipping meals in the U.S. continues to rise due to rampant this inflation and reduced access to school meals. Through November 1st, Conscious Alliance has distributed over 1.5 Million meals in 2022 and nearly 6 million meals since 2020 to children and families in need.
  • Throughout the month of November, we are distributing over 3,800 turkeys to families who would otherwise go without in Nashville, TN, Pine Ridge, SD, Chicago, IL, and the Denver-metro area. I am joining in the Nashville distribution with many of my local Music City friends, encouraging them to volunteer with Conscious Alliance
  • When our neighbors in the Boulder area needed help after the Marshall fire devastated more than 1,000 homes, Conscious Alliance jumped into action right away delivering over 13,000 meals to first responders and displaced families, and continuing to provide support for those in need from this devastating wildfire.
  • By the end of 2022, we will have hosted almost 100 'Art That Feeds' Food Drives this year at concerts across the country, where we collected thousands of pounds of non-perishable food items to support the local food banks where the events took place. We will wrap up the year over NYE weekend with Food Drives supporting Denver (STS9 and String Cheese), Cincinatti (Goose) and Atlanta (Umphrey’s McGee), as well as hosting a very special fundraising concert with Goose at the Fox Theatre in Boulder in December.

This year, we are once again focusing on delivering food to those in need not only throughout the Winter months, but all year round. I can’t imagine being a kid (or anyone for that matter) and not knowing where my next meal was coming from? Many of you have kids- just think about them going home on Friday afternoon with no meals planned until they go back to school on Monday morning. It is heartbreaking and I am certain that all of you feel strongly that any day without food is unacceptable.

We continue to develop our network of natural food brands and now count more than 80 natural food companies as members of the Alliance, who provide us with large-scale food deliveries to our National Distribution Center in Broomfield, Colorado, we were break them down and redistribute to communities in need across the country. Your generous contributions to my fundraiser will keep the trucks on the road, getting the food directly into the hands of those in need.

I would ask each of you to open your hearts and your wallets again this year for this worthy cause and join me in standing up against weekend hunger! Every little bit counts. Whether you donate $5 or $100 or $1,000, your contribution will help impact those struggling to keep food on the table this holiday season and throughout the year. Every $1 you donate provides two meals and helps keep the Conscious Alliance trucks on the road, full of food to be distributed to families who are going without, and helps get me and Conscious Alliance closer to our goal of providing 500,000 meals this winter season. With my personal goal of $12,500, that is 25,000 meals that together we can provide. And, after you make your donation, please consider supporting Conscious Alliance all year long - Become A Member Today! As I said above, I will personally be matching the first $6,250 in donations made by you.

And, if you are looking for more information about Conscious Alliance, our Executive Director, Justin Levy, was recently featured on a podcast where he discussions his own personal journey to Conscious Alliance and the growth experienced by our organization. Peter
